New home for the Armstrong Siddeley Heritage Trust and the Owners Club

A historic moment for the Armstrong Siddeley marque.

The Owners Club and the Heritage Trust working together have been able to secure adjoining premises on the Pentre Industrial Estate just west of Shrewsbury. Together these premises will be known as the Armstrong Siddeley Centre.

Unit 1 provides over 5,000 sq ft of storage type space, all at ground floor level which more than meets the needs for stores and other associated requirements, such as storage of regalia, re-homing of cars at risk etc.

In adjoining unit 1a, the Heritage trust will have a new home which creates the opportunity for greater access to members and the space to expand our collections. With around 3500 sq ft in this two story building there will be more than enough room to offer the custodial care of the club's library and in due course provide proper access to this for members of both organisations. The trust will also be setting up a meeting room using the original Armstrong Siddeley Motors board room furniture and this will be available for club and trust meetings.

These buildings require some remedial works and setting up for purpose. We hope to have completed these works in a few months time and to have taken occupation, at which time there will be an unofficial opening and further news will appear in this column.
