The first picture shows a really sporty looking Armstrong Whitworth which must have attracted envious glances from other motorists, far less the common man.

The car is equipped with an electric lighting set. The smart military gentleman we understand is a member of the Somerset Light Infantry.

No details are given with this picture but it seems reasonable to think it may be circa 1914.

This second picture is of a Mk 2, Armstrong Siddeley Fourteen four, Cotswold tourer.

Looking along the windscreen from left to right we see a sturdy mirror, AA badge, Fuel gauge and tax disc holder. On the back of the card we learn that this carefully set up picture was taken on the 9th. September 1926. The day was bright and the time was 5.50pm, with camera settings of 1/10sec at F6.
