Armstrong Siddeley Mongoose Aero-Engine
The Mongoose was a five-cylinder, single-row, radial, air-cooled, poppet-valve piston engine. The engine featured twin forward-mounted ignition magneto's and enclosed valve rockers, with the cylinders identical to those used in the earlier Jaguar engine.
The engine was unusual in appearance for a small radial engine, seeming to be upside down, with the fifth cylinder at the bottom of the circle.
Built in several variants between 1926 and 1930 with a power output that ranged between 135 and 155 hp (100-115 kW).
