Armstrong Siddeley Lynx

Linx

The Lynx aero engine was derived from the Armstrong Siddeley Jaguar engine; in essence, it was a one-row version of the Jaguar's two-row Layout. The bore and stroke of the Lynx were the same as those of the Jaguar and, as such, had half the cubic capacity of the Jaguar at 11 litres. Like the Jaguar, the initial Lynx's 150hp power output was deemed inadequate, so, as in the Jaguar, the stroke was increased to 5.5 inches.
