Pictures from the Heritage Archives

Whilst the driving of a motor car was originally the preserve of men, by the nineteen twenties ladies were taking an interest in the liberating influence that driving their own car would bring, John Siddeley was not slow in taking advantage of this and this brochure featured many illustrations of ladies and his motor cars.

Once again these images abound in the brochure illustrating ladies using their motor cars.

The Manston saloon was available on the 14 or 15hp chassis and it probably appealed to ladies.
