This week we feature something a little different, to celebrate the start of our summer holiday season.




An idyllic scene in some quiet corner of the Cotswolds photographed by the Armstrong Siddeley publicity team back in 1949.


The featured car is an Armstrong Siddeley Lancaster saloon. The bodies for this model were built by Mulliners Ltd. of Birmingham, and it was the only body built in large volume entrusted by Parkside to an outside coachbuilder. Perhaps the continuing commitment to government contracts and post war availability of materials contributed to this decision.
